Johns Creek Lodge
After experiencing the indoor/outdoor living of the Lake Blue Ridge house we designed and built, our client asked us to reimagine their Johns Creek home with many of the same inviting features. The redesign focused on creating spaces that flow effortlessly between indoors and outdoors, emphasizing light, openness, and connection to the surrounding landscape. Using a thoughtful blend of contemporary and rustic materials, the home was transformed into a bright, welcoming retreat. Large windows and open layouts draw the eye outward to the carefully designed terraces, water features, and greenery, making the natural surroundings an integral part of daily living.
Modern Rustic Retreat
The project included a full basement remodel that opens onto a ground-level courtyard, creating additional living space while enhancing accessibility to the outdoors. A pavilion designed for entertaining features a fireplace and a catering kitchen, offering a seamless space for gatherings of any size.
Landscaping was carefully integrated into the design, incorporating both a bog pond and a koi pond, which add movement, texture, and tranquility to the backyard. The pavilion has quickly become a favorite gathering spot for friends and family, perfectly blending comfort, functionality, and connection to nature in this remodeled Johns Creek home.
For the past 5 years I have had the pleasure of working with Modern Rustic Homes and their clients. I help with the decision making process for all the plumbing, lighting and appliance selections.
